I'm usually pretty uneasy about canned goods outside of canned beans, but I tried Kirkland's Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon today on my salad and it was pretty good.  It's a great option when you are in a hurry!  The entire can was only 180 calories and we all know how nutritious salmon is for our bodies.

Have you tried Trader Joe's Cilantro dressing?  It's packed full of flavor.  I've been dismissing it on the store shelf the past year, assuming it would be too high in calories.  Boy was I wrong!  Only 45 calories for 2 tablespoons!  Go get yourself a bottle and pour it on anything.  You'll be happy!

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, eating 1.5 ounces of nuts per day as part of a healthy diet may reduce your risk of heart disease. Cashews provide lots of  vitamin K and zinc.  1/4 cup of lightly salted cashews are 160 calories and they are soon delicious!  Keep a ziplock of them in your car or handbag for a snack.

You can eat treats and stay on track, as long as you keep it in moderation and hit the gym!  Today we went to a birthday party and the delicious little cupcakes were staring me down.  I had a really good workout at the gym earlier in the day, so I ate one and I didn't feel guilty.
